So, there's this pile of mash (ACRB powder) that seems to have a bit of an issue with a non-polar solvent (purified vegetable oil).
To be specific, she keeps absorbing, and absorbing, and absorbing the solvent...guzzling it up like it's an alcoholic at last call. In filtration, she has maybe dropped 10% of the original volume...the rest just sticks in there.
She started the night as an innocent ~100g of powder, opening with distilled white vinegar (warmed in 160 deg. F water bath). From there, she chomped on some lime (Cal. Hydroxide), and sat there a bit bloated in the form of a mash of cream of wheat consistency. So far, more or less according to the evening's plans on the Q21Q21 tek schedule.
But alas, once she started hitting the solvent, she just kept bloating. In retrospect, she probably mixed it up a bit too much on the first drink. When looking up suggestions on dealing with this sort of problem, she worked on a few of the troubleshooting tips suggested on the assorted threads -- for example, she tried to sober up in a warmed oven (~180F) for a few hours...some oil surfaced (and presumably some excess water dried up), but once in the filter funnel she went right back to guzzling...and after all of this, she still only releases a few scant ML of the solvent.
So, how would you help out this mash? What would you do to get her back in proper shape for her intended duties of the evening? How will she ever give up all that precious enhanced oil?
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
