Yeah I realize that. I am curious how good the results (with lysol) would compare to using a hepafilter.
Basically I'll give it to you plain & simple: it's not that I'm using disinfectants instead of a hepa, but rather, as SWI Phlux stated, that hepa filtration devices are not necessary in many cases where mycological applications are being practiced. If your laboratory/grow area is kept neat & clean, and if you adhere to basic sanitation logic (i.e.: disinfecting hands before sticking them into your grow chamber, keeping pets/animals out of your grow space, providing sufficient air circulation WITHOUT open windows, etc.), then you will rarely encounter problems involving infection. Keep in mind, however, that I am not only somewhat of a "clean-freak", but have OCD as well (although not the variation offered by the film "What About Bob"
, and therefore may view "neat and clean" differently than some. My tribesmen, on the other hand, have experienced very similar results, and none of them own the aforementioned conditions that I do. When you get a feel for how a mycological network "works" these types of things become, more or less, common sense.
