All powdered cactus from vendors that I've come across in the past has been green but I've recently stumbled across a very slight green/off white almost tan batch of Achuma? Is this bunk powder or just some odd coloring. Everything I've seen before this has been torch.

The green color can vary, if more of the core of the cactus is used for instance, or depending on how the cactus is dried and processed. If it is dried in the sun, some of the chlorophyll can degrade giving it a lighter color. I've had light green Achuma that was still very potent.

Well it's good to know that color doesn't reflect potency, but the yield from the first vinegar salting using 69ron's tek was negligable -- less than a pea sized clump of sticky amber acetate.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I followed the tek to the letter, and let the fist limonene pull sit for 6-hours. The remaining to vinegar saltings from the first pull are drying now, but they look like they'll yield the same low amount of a clear waxy substance that turns amber/dark brown when gathered together.
