Hello! Swim has been having some mixed results with his extractions and was hoping for help from someone with more experience. I'll try and make it as structured as possible.

Extraction 1: (it has been a year so i'm not sure if these proportions are accurate)
STB
100 grams of MHRB
50 grams lye
500 ml water
60 ml naptha
added lye to water and let stand 60 minutes. then added naptha. agitate for 30 minutes. naptha is then poured out and let to evaporate.

Result: about 1.5 grams of barley active oily yellow DMT.

Extraction 2:
STB
40 grams MHRB
20 grams lye
200 ml water
25 ml naptha

added lye to water and let stand one hour. then added naptha and agitated for 3 days. After that Swim did a freezer precipitate. Naptha was pour out and Crystals were collected.

Result: a very good amount of yellow and white crystals.

Extraction 3:
The exact same technique as extraction 2 with new batch except he added about 30 grams of lye this time.
Also did a second pull from the batch of Extraction 2 and mixed the syphoned naptha of 2 and 3 together for freezer precipatate
Result: No yeild

Extraction 4:
Swim thought the aqueous solution may have been too acidic because when agitating the layers they would stay completely separate so he poured all of batch 2 into batch 3 (batch 2 is now around 2 weeks old so he assumed the ph has dropped a little) This seemingly helped as the layers were not so defined and abrasions (I think that's the word) of stringy plant fibers occurred at the bottom of the naptha layer.
Same technique but this time only agitated for one day

Result: No yeild

Swim tried a second pull from Extraction 4 and still no yield besides 20 micro grams of jungle spice.

Note: Though Swim has never done DMT before these times he has read A LOT about it and saw that his trips were different to what normally occurs. He never broke through even when using what would normally be considered a mind blowing amount of the yellow crystals. He never saw a chrysanthemum or heard a high pitch ringing. However he did have incredibly strong body vibrations (very different from when he took 5-meo DMT mind you) and when he closed his eyes he saw a not very colorful hallucination that was more like psilocybin. Though the images were crazy to say the least. I was wondering if what he was extracting was not actually N,N-Dmt but something else. Any thoughts?

You could do with a ph tester, that would solve lots of problems

litmus paper is available online for pennies

I've tried before. Every time I dip the paper in the solution the root bark dyes it purple so I can't read what it says. I have no clue how you guys use it.

PH papers should come with a color chart... I'm sure you know this, but I dont think Ph strips can be stained ...

I'm still waiting for my freezer to do its magic... but just realized Warm L-Fluid may just be the key I was missing. I did a 50g A/B (vinagar/lemon) vs a 50g straight to Base on P.Viridis leaves.

COLD STB Pulls I've scraped up a little Jungle Spice / Resin Ball (Strong)
COLD A/B pull... = smaller amount of Jungle Spice (No Resin)

(reused) Hot/Warm 30ml STB Pull- evapped to 5ml it looked like 4 (cream) jelly balls forming (in freezer now)
now Looks like a small mass of shards

Hot/Warm 60ml A/B Pull- straight in freezer (some kind of reaction is taking place)
Looks like white spice atm (been 4hrs)

Hot Namptha Holds more DMT.. any drop in temp results in a DMT Dumpout, Im hoping that keeping it Hot literally until u siphon into collection jar helps.

Thanks for the replies! The problem was definitely the PH. I recently found out what SWIM has been smoking is "resin" but with some practice managed to coax enough vapor out to have a few crazy trips. He also purchased some legitimate lab equipment which makes life a hell of a lot easier. He's 'bout to try and break through after checking up on the forums. Wish em luck
