hi everyone,

SWIM is about to do second extraction, using q21q21 tek from MHRB.
He is very keen on making extraction 100% food safe thus using Limonene, and after that - acid wash/salting with vinegar. The tek states that vinegar at the end of the extraction [if chosen to make a smokable product] should be evaporated. SWIM has not found information that vinegar evaporates without leaving any trace, this means that final product will have a trace of vinegar in it?

and if that's the case, does it affect product or experience or LUNGS in any way?

thank you

acetic acid evaporates clean as does water, so any vinegar without additives will evap cleanly

i noticed my product initially smelled of vinegar after evaporation, but after re-dissolving in water and evapping twice i noticed to more smell/taste or traces.

hope this helps Thumbs up

thanks for your answer,

I did not know that dmt is soluble in water. is it really?
and was it a mistake in your message instead of "NO" you wrote "TO"? Smile just double checking, as it might change the meaning of your message.

peace

DMT is soluble in water in salt form - as in DMT acetate, what you would salt out of limonene. In freebase form it has very low water solubility.

As PC said, there might be little traces of vinegar after a first evaporation (hence the faint smell) but redissolving the salt in water allows those tiny vinegar pockets to be released and mixed with the water, facilitating again the full evaporation.
