I recently made a magnetic stir plate to assist in dissolving NaOH in water and also for mixing the Naptha for pulls. No more shaking the livin bejeesus out of your extractions! Just flick a switch.
Materials Needed:
Small sheet of plywood
Small fan motor
Strong magnets (got mine from an old hard drive)
Plastic hardware bin
Magnetic stir bar ***regular screws will react in the basic solution! Not advised!!!!
Various screws and such
Assembly:
Cut plywood to the bin size
Mount fan motor to the plywood(I made this one height adjustable)
Secure magnets on top of the motor
Cover the motor and magnets with the plastic bin and secure
Dump your goods into the beaker and ledder buck!
Using a stir plate gives confidence that all the atoms within the beaker are saying "hello" to each other. I hope you enjoy!
Be well and travel safe.
Much love
