Hey guys, did a STB on powdered MHRB and ended up only being able to pull red naptha which evap'd as a tan wax. I've been doing a little reading and found that others have had this problem.

I thought it may be jungle spice and tried it but it only gave a strong body load with no visuals. I've tried cleaning with IPA but I just get the same waxy stuff out at the end. I want to do a mini A/B to purify but just want to clarify things before starting.


So the process is -

I dissolve my wax in a solvent and add a shot of pure white vinegar and agitate. The solvent will act as a defating agent and the impurities will be left in the solvent and the goodies will be moved to the vinegar. So I then remove the vinegar and put in another container. Any dmt salts left floating in the solvent can then be picked up by adding water to the solvent and agitating and then removing the water and adding it to the vinegar. Then I discard the solvent and basify my vinegar/water mix with lye and re pull with fresh solvent.

Am I correct with this process?

just dissolve in warm vinegar. Doing it 3x is doing 3 vinegar pulls on the red/brown solvent, but since you already have it away from the solvent you dont need to do 3 pulls.

I actually just edited my question and rephrased it as I did some more reading and figured I needed a defat.

Wouldn't I need some solvent in there while it's acidic to defat?

So I could dissolve in vinegar then add solvent to defat and agitate. Then remove vinegar and put to one side. Then add water to solvent and agitate to pick up any salts left and then remove water and add to vinegar. Discard solvent and then basify vinegar/water mix and repull?
