Hello there.

A few weeks back I attempted my first extraction from Mimosa, which was successful to an extent. Half of my precious Dimitri was accidentally thrown away by a room mate while it was drying. I wasn't angry, they weren't aware of what it was. Anyways, my current attempt has gone EXCEPTIONALLY well because I followed a few tips and tricks posted here at the Nexus. My current project is:
210 grams Mimosa
105 grams per extraction

My first 105 grams yielded 1.1 grams of DMT.
My second, which is still on-going, has yielded 450 milligrams after the first pull.

The point behind this thread is to give confidence to new comers, just like me, who aren't too sure if they can do this with successful results. I'm here to tell you that you can and will be satisfied. It's fun, easy and oh-so rewarding. Below are a few tips from one newbie to another if you're serious about supplying yourself with our beloved molecule.

Purchase designated tools for your extractions. The best purchase I made was a 8 inch glass Pyrex baking tray for freezer precip and an exacto-knife razor blade. This has given me the ability to collect every speck of DMT from my pulls.

Follow the TEK you chose to a Tee, do not mix and match. The same applies to growing Mushrooms, etc. Until you are comfortable enough with the process to manipulate the steps and form your own style, listen to the experienced users here.

Be patient! Everyone wants to start collecting their extracted goodness as soon as it comes out of the freezer. Give the entire extraction process time and it will reward you.

Keep your tools clean and neat, document your times to ensure you're not over or under-doing the steps.

I'm glad to say that I stuck with this, once the bugs are worked out it's easier than making Ramon Noodles. I've attached a few photos below that I took just to document the process, etc. Have fun and enjoy these simple, marvelous things in life.

That's fantastic man. Very inspiring indeed. That product looks amazing! SWIM has been up all night executing his first extraction. So far so good. At the moment SWIM is at the freeze precip stage.

Please ask SWIM how his experience went? SWIM hasn't done DMT since 1996. He's hoping the home extraction kind is as good as the stuff he sampled Shocked
I am completely convinced that there is a wealth of information built into us, with miles of intuitive knowledge tucked away in the genetic material of every one of our cells. Something akin to a library containing uncountable reference volumes, but without any obvious route of entry. And, without some means of access, there is no way to even begin to guess at the extent and quality of what is there. The psychedelic drugs allow exploration of this interior world, and insights into its nature. - Shulgin

In my opinion, home brew will always be better because of the effort that was put into it! Quality wise, it's the best I've ever had, but that's not saying much because I've only tried one other batch that wasn't mine. Experience-wise, it's definitely DMT lol.

Very nice! That spice looks very good and well prepped! Smile

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences!

Thank you for the kind words, writing up this small report was the least I could do after the countless hours everyone else put into making this the best DMT community on the net. In due time I'll be able to contribute more, but I'm still a baby myself!

Excellent yield! I'll definetely use a baking tray and razorblade in my next extraction. May I ask, what tek did you use to get this kind of result?

Thank you! I just finished the second pull from my last batch.

That's roughly two grams so far!

Thanks for the post and congrat. The spice looks good. I may give this tek try next time.

I looked the Q21Q21 tek up and there is one thing Id like to ask about. When you mix naphtha with bark, water, lime solution how do you actually mix it ? Do you give it a good mix to make sure the naphtha gets to it properly or just put it in jar and let it do the job its self ? What is your experience ?

Hey.

After your MHRB has been mixed with vinegar, water and lime and let sit for the recommended time, you pour the naphtha directly into it. Stir it rigorously until the naphtha is warm (if the water was boiling hot when you poured it into the bottom container, it should only take 30 seconds or so to warm the naphtha up) then let it sit for 10 minutes or so. !MAKE SURE! that you have a cloth ready to dry your mixing bowl when you take it out of the hot water, if you don't, small drops of water will drip into your precip container and freeze, causing a hassle when it's time to dry your product. Hope this helped, let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you for the info my friend, I do have one more question. After pull did you do any wash (carbonate, epsom salt)before freez precip ?

No wash, with Q21Q21's TEK it seems as though you get a relatively pure product without the need for extra steps.

Awesome posting Welcome Home, it's great to see someone doing a first time extraction successfully. It gives some measure of hope to me that I'll be successful when I finally get around to doing an extraction next month.

Keep up the good work!
