So SWIM is doing their first extraction with Noman's Tek, and they're wondering whether or not the crystals HAVE to be washed after the freeze precip, and if so, can it be done with warm water? SWIM used mineral spirit paint thinner, evapped clean, not Nomans suggested Naptha. These crystals are like....resonating with SWIM's pituitary gland....

See what you get after scraping...if its yellow/gooey as well as snow globes then you can Re-x later when you have all your pulls done, to remove the impurities.

Right now they're mostly white with a tinge of yellow, the crystals, but are they harmful if smoked as is? Are there any teks on re-x'ing with warm water?

you dont have to wash them, but you wont be able to tell if they are clean or not by just looking and its always better to be safe than sorry.

it only takes a short while to re-x so get to it Razz

A tinge of yellow is normal with an STB tek
Not harmful..some people prefer the yellowey stuff.

You can't Re-x with water...just a solvent (Heptane or Naphtha) Just heat the Solvent by placing 30ml in a jar and put the jar in a pan of water and heat. (just need enough water to cover 1/4 of the jar.. (keep flames away from solvent)

Sounds like it is fine the way it is..Smile
