Hello all

Quick question from yours truly, is there any problem with combining pulls before putting your container in a freezer. For example if I do a pull, siphon the naphtha into my container then put that off to the side while i add more naphtha to the MHRB and let it absorb the dmt-freebase, would there be any problem? I suppose I'm most worried about it evaporating before i get it into the freezer and losing potential yields. As always any and all help is appreciated, thank you.

Evaporation will not affect the yield as far as I know (but I'm still a newbie, so it might be a good idea to wait for confirmation on this fact.)

What I had understood was allowing evaporation of the naptha would simply up the DMT concentration in the remaining naptha. If you are really worried about evaporation, you could always cover your container with a lid or some plastic wrap.

That does make sense, i appreciate your input. This is only my second extraction, and id prefer to avoid any huge mess ups if possible, but i suppose mistakes are just a way of learning. I think I'm gonna try to combine the pulls provided no one states any objections in the next couple minutes. thanks again joeshmo.

Will not be a problem. DMT will not evaporate at room temperature.

The only issue is that the saturation of DMT in the solvent may decrease somewhat if your later pulls do not pull much. When you freeze precipitate, you are lowering the temperature of the naptha which decreases the maximum amount of DMT that it can absorb per amount of naptha. Any DMT present above that level 'crashes out' of the solvent and is left as those beautiful solid snowglobes that you hope to see.

So perhaps do the freeze precip, then afterwards evaporate the naptha by half and freeze precip again to see if you get any extra spice.

Safety warning: naptha is flammable. Evaporation should be done at room temperature with a fan and plenty of ventilation.

I frequently combine pulls. The only time I don't is if I'm doing a modification to a tek and want to how individual pulls are affected by my tweaks. Evaporating naptha until your solution is super saturated is something you should try sometime. It makes the freeze precip work better and i't also cool to see crystals starting to crash out at room temperature. Evaporate your pull (or combined pulls) down to half of the original volume. If it is super saturated, you can blow on the surface of the naptha and it will get cloudy right before your eyes. Really cool.

Thanks everyone for the helpful information,

Verma i only mixed the first two pulls so i think a decrease in saturation is unlikely, (at least i hope so) it was 100g of MHRB from which i took two 100ml Naphtha pulls. I siphoned both onto a glass baking tray and moved that into freezer precip. I'll have to look into the half naphtha evap idea though. extra yield is always nice

And Mister_Niles,

If i wanted to try making a super saturated solution (love that alliteration), what would be the best way to go about it? Could i just take a couple pulls, combine them, let them sit in a well ventilated room for awhile then put that in freezer precip. Would it be bad to evap it past half its volume? Also, making clouds in the surface of the naptha sounds downright cool.
