I wish !!

Apparently, i read that the film was screened without color and that they are working on that now.

I also tried looking for a trailer, but all there is, is a 45 second clip. It sounds really, really interesting.

His other movie irreversable was a TOTAL MIND F*ck. That one might have a torrent file.

Even the sound on the 45sec trailer reminds me of being submerged.
Any idea when this should be released?

I don't know when it will be available.....soon hopefully. I visited the "official" website but i don't speak french.

I thought it was funny but i was reading some of the cannes reviews, and some hollywood critic called it unwatchable. lol I'm thinking to myself.....this is gonna be a cool flick.

This looks so intriguing!!! Please keep us posted. And if anyone finds links to more actual footage (1st trailer was so unsatisfying compared to the visual samples . . .) that would be great . . .Cool

Here's a link to "the official" web page, unfortunately it is in french, but i know we have some member's that are in france, mabey they'd be kind enough to keep us posted to what the director is saying as far as release dates.

The visuals are stunning...really wish I could have seen it at a good cinema, it could have done with some selective editing it is far too drawn out.

Great film. Visuals are amazing, the pace is slow and the mood is delicious. I didn't find it that drawn out, contemplative at times, but it helped to appreciate the visuals. I found the sister to be over-sexualized, but a great watch overall.

Enter the Void.

So it starts out with a supposed dmt blast. The phone rings while the guy is in a crappy cgi 'hyperspace', he gets pulled smoothly out of it and talks on the phone casually. O rly?

Main character, drug dealer, filthy apartment, in an inscestuous relationship with his sister, dmt enthusiast.

It sucks, the guy keeps visiting his creepy connection, to score drugs to sell, everytime he sees the guy they do little bumps of coke, trade money for "shit" and then he's like, "you got any dmt"? Dmt is referenced frequently in this movie. Never once in a decent context, really, there is no decent context in this movie. Some effort was put towards making jarring cinematography here...camera angle being the main characters eyes, complete with blinking. Woooooo, edgey.

Apparently there is also embedded a bunch of sounds that are out of the range of the human ear....stuff that's put there to agitate you on a subliminal level. I doubt the movie maker, doodoo-head guy, is any type of expert in NLP, brain entrainment, sonic engineering--he's just clumsily messing about with stuff that he does not understand. Using subliminal stuff, in a way that's intended to agitate, when you have no knowledge in such matters--like a 7 years old with a chainsaw. Like some drug addled punk with dmt. Just not cool.

To give some insight into how this guys head works, he made another movie....with a 15 minute long graphic depiction of an anal rape.

Wooooo, edgey right?

And it's available watch it now on netflix.

I only watched the first few minutes, and that was enough. The smoking sequence at the beginning was effective- realistic sense of buildup and anxiety- but the trip visuals had no real resemblance to the hyperspace I know and love. The visuals were cool but not even in the right ballpark. Clearly intended to look lurid and threatening. And answering the phone during a peak, after taking like 4-5 hits? Then getting up and walking out? Sheesh, that is so weak.

The spice scene was ok, you can tell they actually tried to make it as similar as possible, but not completely accurate, like.guyomech said...gettin up and walking around...answering the phone, etc...not likely. It was like he controlled when the trip ended. Other than that the movie was cool until it wasn't lol. Seemed to drag on after a while. Could've been AT LEAST a half hr shorter while accomplishing the same thing.

I personally liked the movie as a whole, but I think it would have been even better if they had cut it bit shorter.

I liked the DMT trip scene (I cannot how else I would have done it), but - and here I agree with others here - that answering the phone + getting up that fast was perhaps too much of an exagerration...

The DMT experience depicted in the movie is NOTHING like a full on heavy DMT experience....not even close. A nice attempt but a mere attempt nonetheless.

I definitely liked the style of filming though (not sure if it has a name). The story and throughout was ALRIGHT, but not much to write home about in regards to DMT or anything of the sort.
