i currently have a small STB going right now, and planned to end with a fumarate salt for pharma use. I was thinking off simply decanting the solvent away from the freebase after the freeze precip, let stand overnight to evap any traces of solvent, and putting a small amount of water in the jar. swirl the water to break everything loose, then add FASW drop by drop until everything goes into solution, then simply evaporate to yield DMT fumarate with minimal fumaric acid.

anyone ever try this? any reason i should not do this? cant think why this would not work, and should help in making sure there is no excess fumaric acid since i will use only the bare minimum needed to get everything to dissolve.
