Hey Nexians,

First timer, looking at using Phosphoric Acid, just wondering does the concentration of the acid matter ? Haven't sourced one yet outside of hardware stores and that's just being sold as patio cleaner.

Any ideas whether these weaker versions will do the job, seems as it is only the pH that matters (I thought...). I was also thinking they could have impurities in too.

What do you experienced users think ?

Grateful for any help at all !

you're likely to end up with a mess by using a viscous polyprotic acid like phosphoric acid.

So what would you use Acetic acid, only heard bad things about it on here really, poor yield because of the strength of the bond it creates or something along those lines.
I've found some good sources of Phosphoric and Muriatic, are they worth using then no ?

I don't know who told you that, probably someone who hasn't tried using acetic acid, or didn't properly lyse the plant cells (weak bonds? lol). Acetic acid works well, so does muriatic.
