Hi guys,
So I've started my first extraction using Noman's Tek. Everything worked fine except after the freeze precipitation of the 1st pull. I only let it in the freezer for 1 hour or so but there was already quite a layer of white stuff on the bottom of the glass dish so I decanted off the solvent as good as I could and then tried to gather my crystals by scraping them with a spatula. I think this was the first mistake, I should've let it evap fully in the glass dish and recollect the crystals afterwards. Anyways the product was white but some parts were a little gooey and looked a little like slime (not so white as the rest of the stuff). So when I tried to evap the solvent in the sunlight the white stuff got a little drier but the gooey stuff just pretty much stays the same and everytime the gooey and the white stuff come in contact the good stuff just gets consumed by the other.
Should I try drying with a hairdryer? Should I redissolve and try again?
The second time I just plain evaporated everything to see what I get, and I got quite a lot yellow-orange crystals on the side and some liquid drops in the middle of the dish. When I put it in the sunlight it seemed like in the liquid drops a solid was forming but after half an hour I think the temperature got too high and quite a lot of stuff on the side also melted. The stuff that is liquid at room temperature are oils and impurities, right? So if I add the next pull to this dish and let it freeze precip my solvent should solvate the impurities and leave me with more DMT. Could this work?
Any help is highly appreciated, I am really new to doing this kind of stuff in a kitchen rather than a lab ^^
Thanks
