I was looking to order some so I can test my rue/caapi extractions.

I went on eBay and found they have them that are for salvia/urine and they have ones that are for pool water.

Can I use either? I found a pool kit one that comes with 50 strips for $4.00

Would that work?

depending on where you are they're generally able to be ordered through a chemist, or available in some form in fishtank/petfood shops..the only ones i've found locally have very restricted range of values, 6-9 being the widest, i think the strips you linked would have a similarly restricted range. if you're serious about it you should buy digital

The cheap 10-14 dollar pH meters on eBay are surprisingly accurate and stay calibrated long enough to justify the minimal amount spent on it. I've had one for a couple years now and it still works perfectly fine. You have to be careful about very acidic and basic solutions you are testing, as it can warp the calibration, so always check after exposure.

Ok thanks. I didn't even realize there were digital ones. I just thought the strips were what everyone used.

I'll look for one.

Also a nice tip for ph test strips: use sciccors to make at least 4 times as much out of them. Pleased

Kind regards,

My dad was a taxidermist and used the good ph strips that range from 1-13. So maybe check some taxidermy suppliers online. I don't know exactly where he used to order them from though.
