Hello, I just started extracting DMT and smoking within the last 2 weeks, and I've had some great closed eye journeys. But, I don't see anything other than some pulsating and movement with my eyes opened.. Doesn't it give crazy open-eye visuals too?? Maybe I'm just not smoking enough? I enjoy the trips how they are, but everyone else seems to see crazy stuff with their eyes open as well as closed

Yeah, you're probably not smoking enough. And anyways the visuals are generally stronger in the dark, also a very cool thing is some faint sun rays hitting the walls.

That being said, it is also possible to completely leave this world, no matter how bright it is and no matter how open your eyes are. It's usually about the dose. I have only been able to get there with aya so far, but for example, I remember reading a report here where someone just eyeballed a big amount and smoked it, and basically what happens is that there's alien hands breaking through the veil in a spiral pattern and they start ripping this reality apart until you're completely on the other side, and you have no hope of going back, atleast for a while. And that feeling resonated with me alot for some reason.

SWIM has the same problem SWIM has been to crazy 2-D land with elf characters telling SWIM to quit smoking cigarettes and just dancing and laughing at SWIM... also these strange symbols that morph in and out of each other that seem to represent some character of language, and upon close inspection these strands of gel-like color become anything and everything--the elfs, SWIM his/herself, strange old guys with long white hair and beard... yet it is always the same setting, the same characters acting differently... is this still a threshold effect? SWIM opened his/her eyes one time (SWIM doesn't know why normally he/she feels as if his/her eyes are wide open but it just happened) while in the presence of this weird ticky tacky substance and the elves, and SWIM saw his/her room--albeit morphed colored and twisted like an acid trip, but the room nonetheless. Does SWIM need more? SWIM has tried the machine to spec, bought a VG, tried tinfoil and other unsavories, but has only gotten to this point with the herb sandwich method in a water bong (SWIM finds the large chamber easier to get that DMT all in under 30 seconds). SWIM has had wonderful introverted experiences making him/her question the life he/she lives in a good way, but SWIM wants desperately to find the chrysanthemum and the doorway and to explore much deeper than what feels like just the top layer of his/her ego.

Also I should note more fictional work of SWIM's: his/her DMT is pure white, re-x'd with heptane after initial naptha pulls, and in SWIM's honest opinion couldn't get purer based on the fact SWIM oversaw the extract his/herself.

I have never not been able to see through the visuals with open eyes. If you're breaking through to entities, then your dose is GOOD. Unless of course you want to have more, but fair warning that above entity-dose it gets REALLY weird - weird even in relation to the elves.

Every breakthough I've had, with eyes open I could still mostly discern my surroundings. Even on a dark night outside. Like, you can still see objects but they are inmeshed with the swirls and rapid-fire-tessellation undulating concept-visuals. It's hard to explain.

well, i just eyeball my doses too. I started with BB sized amounts and got up to dime sized, which i saw entities on. but i want to see some of the weird things, does anyone have experience beyond the realms of death? I just want some crazy stuff to write about, and i just feel like my trip could be a lot more "out of body" as i can come back to reality at any time i choose, isn't there a point when your body doesn't even exist anymore?

As to smoking "dime-sized" amounts...if you're so dissatisfied with your experiences, weigh your doses, get a gvg.

Your just not smoking nearly enough.



Theres a point where you wont have a body or sense of individual "i" to even identify with, nor will you have even the ability to formulate that question. get a scale and/or make changa if you haven't. And regarding your death/weird things/writing comments: i really recommend dropping expectations and desires as much as possible

I'm satisfied, believe me, but i feel as though there's a lot more to come from it... i haven't completely meet any entities yet either. i saw a few, and i saw a deep blue and went into it, it took me to a tunnel with a big eye on a pillar, "the all seeing eye" was ringing in my head. but still, there is definitely more to it than eyes and colorful hallucinations, i know it. i can feel it.

and i'm not expecting anything, but i know there is crazy stuff to be seen, and i want to see it. i dropped expectations a long time ago when i realized this is nothing like acid or mushrooms.

haha ya it does, but it isn't. i'm not expecting anything in particular, just something. I know it will come eventually, i have patience

like i said, your just hitting the low to sub-breakthrough area. Even subbreakthroughs have astonishing open eye mandalas/visual aspects but your right there is sooo much more to dmt than what you see with your eyes, of course

and btw mushrooms can take you to the same places, given that they contain 4-ho-dmt and 4-po-dmt. IMO they're like oral dmt. Many people totally underestimate them for some reason but they can for sure take you to hyperspace.

Ive smoked DMT 50+ times and have only had one significant open eye trip. I smoked around 65mg out of a bong outside, after i exhaled i looked up at the trees & they multiplied to infinity. During the trip i also felt extremely nauseated(this was the first time i experienced nausea from smoked DMT).

I did a breakthrough dose with my eyes open ... once. and only once. It was very overwhelming. I was in my room, and the only way to explain how it looked is this painting by Dali:

Get yourself a scale and SmOaLk MoAr until you hit your sweet spot

Also decent smoking apparatus / technique is essential.

I seem to forget that lots of people don't have a proper vaporizing apparatus...! That is key to making the most out of you DMT experience... getting 40 milligrams in one hit with minimal combustion is something else entirely... but regardless even then I could see my surroundings. I was outside at night, clear sky with good moon and I could tell what was a tree and the ground and all that while being pulled into a complete breakthrough with human-nervous system entities dancing around me...

I've tried vaporizing the proper way, and i didn't get the full effect, but mixing with weed and just smoking normally, but in HUGE hits, does the job... Is it really necessary to vaporize?

Yes, vaporization goes an incredibly long way in allowing for efficient ingestion of dmt. Based on your comments throughout this thread, I'm sure the issues you are having are entirely due to your technique. Are you just mixing it with weed and smoking it in a bowl? I'd posit it's not "doing the job" as you have stated numerous times in this thread you feel there is "more" to the experience (that it goes deeper and you want to experience that depth, if you will).

At the point where it "does the job" you will no longer "just want some crazy stuff to write about" you will not feel like you could be "more out of body" and you may just find yourself asking for "less".

It's not absolutely essential to vaporize,(i only use my vapor genie now)but it is the best (most efficient) way. I have had intense breakthroughs from a glass bowl and a bic. (about 50mg spice sandwiched between some weed.) just take big hits and hold em.

As far as open eye visuals...I have had many journeys where I honestly couldn't recall if my eyes were open or closed.
One time my friend was sitting in the room with me and when I came back he told me that my eyes were open for most of it...but I had no recollection.
