I litte while ago I thought I did a sodium carbonate wash on spice filled limonene.
But the color of the limo changed from transparent to "clowdy", not easy to see through and after 24 hours it was still like that.

Now I realized I used fumaric acid to do the wash Embarrased
How hard can it be to just read the label, I have no idea what I was doing.

I did a 25 ml cold water wash with a little disolved fumaric acid and continued with 2 water only washes of 25 ml each.

Is it ok now to continue with a sodium carbonate wash and after this saltin with fasi(pa) ?

Did I lose some valuebles with my wash ?
I discarted the washing water

Yes you most likely lost a significant amount, if not all of your alkaloids, because the fumaric acid will have made the alkaloids in salt form and therefore water soluble.

Most important lesson: NEVER throw away anything until you are finished with the extraction. Basically any mistake can be fixed... It could have easily been recovered if you hadnt thrown the wash water away.

If you still have your extraction container, I would add some vinegar to the limonene, separate, add the vinegar back to the main extraction container and hope at least some of your alks are there, so you just start pulling again.

Was the limonene from one pull, or from all pulls put together?

Sorry NamRA I agree 100% with endlessness. The cloudiness you saw was DMT fumerate crystals in the limo. When you mix an acid with an alkaloid base such as DMT you form water soluble polar salts of the base compound. Unfortunaltey for you DMT fumerate is very soluble in water.
Endlessness makes a very good point that should is one of the most important rules of extracting. "NEVER throw away anything until you are finished with the extraction."

Ai ai ia, though lesson here.
Yes never throw anything away, sure I agree.
It almost funny I did not see I took the wrong bag but not really

Lets see.
These where combined pulls of mhrb water that had already about 0.6 % extracted with naphta
I used a tiny bit of fumerate on the first wash of 900 ml limonene.
For the 2 distilled washes the PH was 7.3

I did a ph reading in the limo that was around 9
but when I started to check again the meter went all the way down to 1 and started climbing to 30 and going down again ??
very wierd.
But when I put it it in calibration liquid PH 7 it stays there solid

Of course I could just procedd with salting and see what does or doessent happen.
