okay, just clear this up for me please, I'm kind of worried.. I smoked for the first time yesterday, and smoked again today. it feels great, haven't broken through yet, but i feel scared of it, and extremely paranoid... is this normal? Weed and other hallucinogens have never made me feel like that

Scared of what? The DMT? Yeah, that's normal. I've never had a really bad experience, but I'm terrified of it.

Yep, definitely produces some anxiety and all I've had were wonderful experiences so far...

caappi extract puts a certain softness on the whole deal IMHO - BUT it's still Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

I agree just recently I became a psychonaught (self given title I feel like I deserve) and spice does bring out the fears inside but I find it very beneficial makes me become stronger conquering fears.

i call my pipe Chuck Norris, because if he's on point he's gonna kick your ass... that said, a little bit of healthy fear, when worked through, can nurture a whole lot of respect... just my $.02 though, your mileage may vary...

Definitely some anxiety and fear that goes along with spice travel! Mostly of just not knowing what to expect, even though I've come to trust the spirit of the matter.

Some that I've traveled with say that the spice challenges you, and is perhaps meant to do so essentially. They hear the repeated messages "Do not be afraid" "abolish your fears" and are often presented with images of spiders and nightmares, if the spirit so wishes you to be challenged by your deepest fears. It's been in an everloving way, though, and has taught myself and others so much through this method. If you think about it, this could be the biological purpose for dreaming. Putting you in situations that are 'real' to challenge and prepare you for your future.

With that being said, take it slow. You won't learn anything from the teacher by taking courses way above your level. If you don't feel ready, wait for the right moment, or a moment you feel more courageous.

You are up against the greatest mystery of our existence and the most powerful psychedelic drug ever known to man.

Is feeling scared normal? Yes.

Can you eventually override these emotions and master your reactions? Yes.

cool, that's what i thought just wasn't sure.. just so new, the feeling of my spirit leaving my body made me think i was dying, and i think that may be why i was scared. but i shall accept this challenge, and take baby steps towards the breakthrough

I can't tell you how many times I have died and convinced myself I was never coming back to this absurd ape existence. That's the fun part.
