Reflecting on Noman's tek he states that, ""Add that using heat for the last pull will increase yield. I left that out of the original for the sake of simplicity, but it probably should be mentioned."
By inference then, wouldn't heated solvent increase the yield of all preceding pulls?
Is there a reason why one would not use heated solvent for all pulls? (a heated pull would also evaporate more quickly for those that do an evaporation before freeze precip).
Does anyone out there use heated pulls for a STB extraction? If so, how hot do you go? I've heard anecdotally of people heating the entire aqueous mixture after adding the naptha.
Your thoughts generally about the use of heat to increase yield and/or the efficiency effect?
Thank you in advance.
