I am considering placing an order for various items from an online vendor (not Am.z.n.com). This is equipment only, and does not include any chemicals. Is this advisable? and/or what are the risks if any? I am not stubborn and can be reasoned with.

I have also wondered about this. Everything I've used for extractions has been ordered online. Chemicals, equipment and plants. Some from amazon, some from ebay. I don't really see where the risk would lie. Does anyone have any info on what mechanisms may be in place, such as flags that are raised when certain purchases or combinations of purchases are made? Or has anyone heard of any case where someone, buying small scale stuff like we all do, has been contacted by the authorities on the basis of buying chemicals/equipment online?

My inclination is that places that sell lab equipment aren't going to be suspicious of someone ordering lab equipment from them, lol. If a site sells caustic soda and you order caustic soda then, again, I can't see how this would be suspicious to them. I don't see any way they would distinguish between people buy for legal reasons versus people buying for illegal reasons.

This I would also like to know. I assume that I'm safe to do so, but I would hate to do anything the risks of which I'm not aware. I'm only an individual (not associated with a business) and I'm not buying in bulk. I would be ordering fairly specific items to a residential address that have really only a few uses. I guess my point is this: I don't think any organization will track an order like this, BUT if they did choose to, it would be fairly obvious what I was doing.

I just did a search and it seems there is a whole world of amateur home hobbyist chemists. I think lots of people will be ordering lab equipment of all shapes and sizes for legitimate means so you should be ok. Chemicals may be different depending on where you live.
