I was following a tel and had my wife " navigate" for me. But she switched teks on me so now I have a very black thick soup. I put 2500a ml of water, 500 g mhrb , 400 g lye, and 500 ml of naphtha. Can I salvage any dnt, I've never used it before.

The black colour is normal. 500ml naptha is way too much, but it should separate out (like the layers of a vinaigrette) if you leave it for anywhere from 5 mins to 24 hours. Separate the naptha and freeze precip, then do more pulls with 50-75 ml and freeze precip.

For definitions of terms, explanations of teks and the chem behind them check out the wiki. (link in menu top right)

Most important - it is ALWAYS salvageable - unless you throw something out!

Good luck,

Thanks partner. I was a bit overzealous. I'll try to learn from this one!

Kinda late now, but you should always start off with small batches to get your tek down. I know my first time I was clueless and sloppy and got an extremely small yield. But at least I only used 50 grams of bark and still had plenty left over to work with. After I got it down I started doing bigger batches.

Luckily you didn't lose anything here, but if a container were to break or something, it's really hard to salvage mimosa soup that went down the drain. Wink

Good luck on this extraction and happy journeys.

I love you guys! I think I have finally found a community of people that I have been searching for ever since I left durango. I had read that I should start small but the tel I liked was the lazyman one. Im educating myself like crazy now. I can't wait to tell y'all about my soon to be first experience. Thanks again to all for making me feel so welcomed! El
