Ok so I'm assuming "Normans tel" means Noman's Tek so I am going to answer accordingly. Theoretically yes you could do that but if you do an evap you should use a pyrex dish to evap your solvent in in stead of the jar. This will make it evaporate much quicker. However from my understanding of these things evaporating your solvent (which I am assuming is Naptha or heptane) usually yields a goopier product and you lose all your solvent. The best way to do it (IMO of course) is to freeze precipitate all the DMT out of the solvent, and then recrystallize at room temperature. This yields some nice crystals.
