I did an AB extract, 2 toulene, 2 naptha defats. Then a polar wash after extracting goods. I acquired some sodium carbonate for this extract, so did 2 5-10% volume polar washes with a solution of it about ph-11. Beforehand, the naptha was totally clear. The first wash resulted in amber colored liquid in pic below. The second was clear, along with the tap water wash.
I saved it because I thought it was odd. Could their be some goodies stuck in their? I ended up with a little over 2 gms out of 1 lb. of mhrb before re-x. But I also did a freeze precip and saved the naptha (sure a little is still in it). But the product is crystal clean! Best so far does'nt need re-x but will anyway cause I have heptane I want to use.
Just curious about what went on here.? I was a little nervous about using sodium carb cause I've read alot of contradicting stuff about it, and heard of product loss... But I was going for quality over quantity this time.

I have an overactive imagination, and am certifiably insane. So anything I post is purely fictional.
