Ok so i am currently doing ecstaza's mescaline extraction tek, and for the first 5 or so pulls i've had good results, getting probably around 200 mg or so of product on each pull. I've noticed that the xylene had a nice, transparent yellow color each time it separated from the cactus mixture after mixing. On my last pull, however, i think i shook the bottle a little to hard because now the xylene that separated to the top is now very murky and opaque looking. I waited a good 24 hours to see what would happen and it is still very cloudy and murky looking. Is this still ok?

I did a pull with this murky xylene and instead of getting the usual yellow powder after salting i got a bright orange product. I tried washing with acetone but it still stayed pretty orange. Is my extraction ruined? I definitely don't want to consume this if it is tainted. Thanks for the help.

So here's an update-

I pulled the xylene from the cactus mix and let it sit in a jar for a couple days to see what would happen. It looks like there is a small layer at the very bottom that looks greenish and oily, probably from the cactus mixture. On top of this the xylene didn't clear out at all, it is still very murky and cloudy. Looks like i'm just gonna toss this and pour fresh xylene in the cactus mix.

I did notice however that after letting the cactus mix sit for a couple days along with the pulled xylene it formed a brown layer inside the jug. I'm using a gallon glass jug at the moment, and presently about half the mixture looks normal (green slime) and the other half is a dark brown. It mixes back to normal color though after i tilt the jug back and forth for a few minutes. Is this normal?

So i poured some fresh xylene in the cactus mix and it turned out much better, it looks clearer and more transparent, so i'm not sure what happened before. I am going to do a pull with this new xylene so i will give an update on how it turns out.
