I have roughly 60g of white caapi vine coming (would have preferred leaf or even black vine) and I want to use it for changa. I was looking at gibran2's vine tek but House informed me that one can enhance a leaf, mullein in my case, by boiling up the vine then filtering, reducing and evapping onto the leaf. This would be far preferable for me. My general plan is to use all 60g of vine to enhance 2 or 3g of mullein, hopefully providing a good amount of harmalas in my changa.

So my questions are:

1. How much water would be a good amount for roughly 60g vine?

2. How long should I boil it to maximize the amount of alkaloids pulled into the water?

3. Should I boil it vigorously or gently?

4. Is this a reasonably efficient way of doing this? (In comparison to gibran2's tek for example)

Also, based on vine extraction teks, would I be right in thinking I should add some vinegar when boiling the vine?

People make tea all kinds of ways. If you need somewhere to start, boil 3 times in around a quart of water each time. Filter, combine, then reduce. Hard boiling is not necessary, simmering is fine. Vinegar is optional. If the water is still dark after three times, do a fourth boil if you want. For the final evaporation, put the extract in a pan with your herbs and dry over another pot of hot water, or use a fan or whatever.

You should get much more than you need for 3g of mullein, it should be good enough for 10g+, yeilding around 20g total for a dirty water extraction. You'll just need to see how much extract you get, how gooey it is, etc. You won't really be able to tell how strong it is until you smoke some.

Forgot to mention...half an hour to an hour each boil. You're not working with a whole lot, so like I said, do a fourth boil if the third is not very clear. But if you're drying it out completely, remember that any water you add will eventually need to be evaporated, so how much water you use is mostly up to you.

The reason I was thinking about evapping it onto 3g of mullein is because I had wanted 20x leaf... But I realise that I am basing that on my original plan which was to use caapi leaf, not vine. But it is vine I have, and no doubt vine has a different alkaloid content to leaf, so mullein enhanced 20:1 with vine wont necessarily be the same as 20x caapi leaf.

I didn't use mullein but have done the same thing with vine. I crushed it, covered it with water and microwaved it for 10 minutes. I did this 3 times then boiled the material down to a tablespoon and then soaked the leaf in the material and evaporated. It took me less than an hour to make.

I had considered whether I could do that since money is so tight just now that the difference between using a cooker for 2+ hrs compared to using the microwave could be enough for me to run out of electricity before I next get cash, lol

Wasnt sure if nuking it would damage the goodies, but if it worked for you then thats good enough for me.
