Swim recently tried his first dmt extraction using q21q21's lime/vinegar/naphtha tek.... (followed everything word for word in the tek)

swim started with 50g of of mimosa as to not use up all his materials in the possibly messing something up his first time

swim was able to recover around .1 .2g on his first pull one change to the tek is that swim evaporated about 60% of the naphtha before before freeze precipitation....

swim was pleased to see a bunch of little white fluffy crystals....swim kept the solution in the freezer for about 8 hours and took out then dumped the rest of the naphtha off...then was put under a fan to dry the rest of the naphtha off...

to swim's surprise much of the crystals seemed to turn into a waxy substance while few crystals remained behind....no smell of naphtha or any detectable presence

swim through back into the freezer thinking he could refreeze the crystals to make them easier to scrape....when taken out they still had an almost impossible to scrape waxy consistency (an amount good enough for one dose was obtained) swim has tried dmt 3 times before this and when he tried his own it bitch slapped him across time

swim added naphtha back to the bark and let sit 48 hours before attempting a second pull...

to swim's surprise a small emulsion had formed so swim added salt and a little warm water attempting to polarize the mixture....had little/no effect

so swim just went ahead and decanted the rest...the same process was followed as the first time and obtained around .3g of the white stuff
still a very hard to manage waxy consistency

swim went ahead and attempted a second batch using 300g of mimosa hoping to get higher quantity to experiment with

swim let the mixture sit for 24 hours before decanting his first pull
the mixture sat in an evaporating dish for about an hour, until swim noticed a little clump of what appeared to be a brown/redish/orange substance started clumping together...

swim was afraid that it might have been a little unnoticed emulsion (that was still floating around in the naphtha) so swim decided to pour the naphtha back into the mixture jar and put it over a warm water bath

now swim is left with a jar that has the rootbark mixture and a redish/orange naphtha layer on top

did swim do something wrong? and will the dmt crystals not keep their shape in room temp? how should swim preserve the crystals and will it always have this waxy, hard to scrape consistency? (btw ph was tested using ph paper strips at acidifying step (was roughly 2-3) and at basifying step to be roughly 10

(sorry for lengthy post just wanted to try and cover everything)

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

hey,

I just used the same tek and my crystals are dry, fluffy and easy to more around. However, they don;t seem active at all...

Also, you got quite a large yield, maybe too large. 1.5g from 50 bark seems too much.

i got .6-.8g off 50g as said above

*edit* and mine were superrr potent

In my experience when you heat your naphtha it doesn't only pull dmt but also the jungle spice and some plant oils.
That is probably why the dmt starts to go waxy when its out of the freezer.
Personally I don't like jungle spice dmt, too chaotic

this is the only tek I've used. I don't use jars because of the waxy material. I use a pyrex baking dish and sharp razor blades(easier to scrape the edges). I'm not sure what exactly is in the waxier content but i like it! I would say 75% of my pulls are white fluff and 25% are waxy with an yellow/orange tint. I think it is just extra alkaloids. .6-.8g off 50g is a real good first extraction too. good job

My bad, I read the "around .1, .2 in the first pull" as 1.2 ))

Personally I've never had anything like this happen in my extractions or heard about it so I can only guess what it could be.
Maybe your naptha has more polar than typical naptha and picks up some of the "jungle DMT"
Maybe there is some sort of contaminant from your naptha/bark/lime/container that is causing this.

I once had a very plastic-y substance when I accidentally used a plastic fork in my d-limonene but there was a 5g+ chunk of it. Don't think that would be it but could be something to consider.
Sorry for your problems. Hope you can figure it out.
Q21Q21's Tek: A comprehensive guide to extracting DMT
The 2 teks use non-toxic lime and vinegar and Tek 1: d-Limonene or Xylene or Tek 2: Naptha to produce very quick high yields with the greatest of ease.

I am almost never on this site anymore so I will likely not answer PMs
