ive heard that pau d'arco makes for a great enhanced leaf but are people using leaf or root? i can buy bulk root for very cheap at a local health shop, but the leaf i can only find as a tea online and its rather expensive expecially with shipping charge.

It doesn't work that great.
It works great as a tea.

Essentially with darco you are smoking wood, and it doesn't absorb spice very well at all.

Try caapi leaves, mullein, lavender, spearmint- things like that. Way better for smoking!

I've always used a little pau d'bark in my changa. It adds something, though I'm not entirely sure how to define it, but blends withou pau just aren't quite the same IMO.
