Hey,

I am approaching my first extraction and wondering whether HCl or PO4 is a better choice?
Effect differences? I am assuming it's a lot better than freebase?

Thanks Smile

What do you mean by better? Freebase is better if you're going to smoke it. Salt is more stable for storage and necessary if you intend to inject or insulfate. For oral use, it doesn't matter since whatever form you ingest is converted to HCl once it hits your stomach.

Like DMT acetate, DMT Hydrochloride and DMT Phosphate are gooey and hard to deal with. If you are planning to extract DMT as a salt, i would go with fumarate. Its in powder form, which makes it easier to handle and is usually used for oral ingestion. If this is going to be your first extraction, you may want to extract freebase, as you can all ways do what Noman said and eat that without having to do the extra steps and make a salt. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the data point!

Can you give more exact details of the process, such as concentrations of water, IPA, phosphoric acid and DMT freebase?

Also, regarding stability, what are the present atmospheric conditions - namely temperature and humidity? The phosphate may be less hygroscopic than the HCl but perhaps it remains to be seen how the crystals hold up against higher absolute humidity.

And if you could get a close up or macro picture of the crystals for us we'd all be delighted to have a look!

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
