First off this is my first post on this website and I would like to thank everyone who is on or has contributed to it in anyway. Ive lurked this site for over a year now and never really got around to making a screen name but decided to finally do so. I know SWIM and he has succesfully comlpeted shaggys jungle tek and has developed and interest in CACTI after having a beautiful experince with consuming dried Bridgessi skins -he however does not like the nausea. Swim Placed an order for 350gs of ICarros verde and is psyched on trying out lucidlemonades Flora sunflower oil tek but is using different variables and wants to get his numbers right with
the help of you guys. Heres what he came up with:

-Glasses and Gloves on-

mix 350 g icaros verde + 350 g lye (both DRy) in a thick glass jar-inside of the bottom half of a milk jug in the sink -Milk jug is to catch supplies in case of glass breaking

add 350 ml boiling water carefully

once reaction settles a bit add another 350 ml hot water. repeat 3-4x until reaction dies down.

pour mixture into empty bottle of bombay saphire add hot water to raise water level near neck.

STEP A: add 150-180 organic sunflower oil.

Gently mix vessel over milk jug in sink. let sit/seperate for 20-30 mins or so.
repeat.If needed KILL EMULSION.

STEP B seperate oil , place aside . add another 150-180 sunflower oil

do STEP A AND B 3-4 more times. combine pulls in glass measuring cup-

add 30-40 ml vinegar to oil and place over low heat, once layers have seperated draw up vinegar on bottom and set aside. repeat 3-4 times.

Combine vinegar and remove any left over oil , there may be a slightly oily film on top.

boil down vinegar to about 10 ml, place in pyrex dish and evap it with a blow dryer.

Place pyrex dish in front of fan for a few hours.convince girlfriend to dose that night-and enjoy.


THIS is his tek summarized I just switched the numbers around to suit the supplies SWIM Will be using.



In LucideLemonades tek he uses Flora sunflower oil, SWIM will be using Whole foods organic brand,im assuming there wont be an issue unless Flora Sunflower oil is special (if so let me know)

The only variables that were changed were the amount of cactus, water, and lye > in lucid's tek he used 100gs cactus to 100g's of lye and adds 100ml increments of boiling water. Since SWIM will be using 350gs cactus , I changed the amount of lye and SWIM will be adding increments of 350ml boiling water. Im under the impression the amount of oil SWIM will use can stay the same and the amounts of vinegar at the end can remain the same. If I am wrong please let me know as SWIM is new to all of this and needs all the help he can get. Thank you.

The largest SWIM has ever done in a single batch was 150g using this method, any larger than this then the mechanics just become more difficult.. i.e. More water needed & thus a larger than >1000ml glass container would be required..

Nothing really looks out of place with the number your using it's just that 350g of Lye + cactus powder is quite a lot to work with and the reaction that happens with only 100-150 grams of Lye can be very impressive & I'm sure it would be even more so with 350g of lye...

SWIM would recommend only doing half of it at a time... (150-175g) plus then if something does go wrong for any reason on your first attempt you would still have the other half to play with.. & It's easy to do the TEK (oil pulling stage) in a couple of hours, so it's easy to repeat that stage a few times within an afternoon..

Oh & Flora Sunflower oil is just plain 100% pure Sunflower oil according to the label...

Also, adding 350ml of boiling water is way too much, 50-100ml at a time is def the right amount and just keep repeating this every couple of mins till you can tell that no further reaction is going on with the lye...
