First timer at extracting. Using MHRB powder, Lye and Naptha:

I extracted from MHRB using Lazyman's Tek, except I freeze precipitated over night and had nice snow globes in the morning. Scraped it out and evaped. Some was yellow and some was white or whitish. I recrystallized the yellow and put aside the white to smoke. The re-x is still evaping, doing slow to see if I can make crystals.

I smoked some of the white stuff, (my scale is not sensitive enough to weigh under .4-.5g accurately so I can't tell you how much) twice today, the first was most def DMT like

It is an interesting high for sure, nice visuals, a nice over all feeling, but I was a little disappointed, having set the intention to breakthrough or to at least have a DMT like trip.

Sorry, I am no scientist so I'm about to ask what may seem silly. Is achieving an NMT extraction a matter of technique or is it a matter of the contents of the MHRB? In other words, did I do something to have extracted NMT instead of DMT? Perhaps I should add a little more base to the MHRB lye mix? Or could it be that the MHRB simply has some NMT that will extract out with the DMT?

Any advise would be much appreciated as I have more pulls to do and I would rather extract DMT than NMT.

I have been researching Nexus to find the answer to the above question. My lack ack of confidence in my ability experience and knowledge I am giving up on the idea of converting the nmt to dmt.

What I already have is suspected nmt given the experience reports of nmt. It's not so bad, I'll keep it. But I really want dmt so...

So I am ready to do another pull, hoping to extract dmt. There is already approx 400ml naptha, 1lb MHRB and about 350-400g lye, 3-4L h2o. thought Id try this: add a little more Lye (100g)+h2o200ml to the mix heat to 120 and stir-using a crock pot for an hour, let settle and separate then freeze precip.

Sound OK?

It's not much more than trace amounts of NMT in MHRB, so I guess you have DMT. Maybe you need to improve your smoking technique.

yeah of the many analysis of mimosa hostilis, it was only found in trace amounts, at most 3% total alkaloid content. I would also guess you have DMT and that the culprit is the smoking technique

..NMT should take 2-5 minutes for effects to become noticeable, main visuals are very brief (15-30 seconds) at 50mg and above..
