a good concern, as far as i know, it won't harm at all as long as you just seal it right, just take care not to spoil it in the fridge/freezer.

Make sure its sealed tighter than a ducks backside. I had a tiny crack in the lid of 1 of my jars and my freezer stank until I cleared everything out of it, washed it out thoroughly and let it dry. I lost a good lot of food as well. It got into things like bread, frozen fish, and chicken burgers. As long as it has a lid you are good, i have done this without a lid, one day attempted to make these chicken patties after cooking them when i bit into it, i tasted the napths so that is one thing you do not want. The duct tape is not fully necessary just a tight lid, will tape work out in the freezer? Dont make this more difficult than it needs to be. Put duct tape on it and you get solvent on it and your going to have a sticky, gummy, gooey, mess. I have never, ever, ever heard duct tape metioned anywhere in any tek here on this website for use in freeze precip. There is a reason you never read it here. lol Ice House is an alter ego.
