I read the thread you suggested, but it didn't really have a clear answer.
It did read, however, that no form of aluminum can dissolve in xylene. It is ok to assume that this is the same with naptha, because it is just another kind of solvent?
I have only limited chemistry knowledge, but it would make sense that any aluminum that did make its way into the solution via the acid boil would not end up in the final product as none of it would be pulled with the freebase dmt in the naptha.
Also, even if aluminum did end up in the end product, the melting point of dmt is far lower than the melting point of aluminum, so would I even have to worry about it anyways?
