I'm not quite sure what you mean by "first level", but just before breakthrough, I often see something like the attached image, except covered in high-resolution geometric patterns. The overall color often indicates the type of breakthrough I'm about to have (orange is the most difficult).

^Indeed, you can see it looming overhead, like a pastel-higher-octave-of-light cloud of geometry and symbols, as if it is some net attached to ALL that is being thrown upon you, it bellows and you can see as it envelopes you and brings you to the next "level". I have seen "it" which is hyperspace at a distance attuning itself to my CNS [?]

I have seen it droop pillars from hyperspace cloud to cloud as I watched looking upwards underneath whilst dosing low. Moving so fluidly, connecting and attaching anywhere it deems fit in it's fractal precision.

It is weird. I can say that much. It really is like some kind of futuristic, alive, hyperblob and it swarms it's way to consume you for whatever reason that may be.

Usually to get past the membrane I will hear a SNAP or an EXPLOSION and then there's no turning back.

On small amounts no where enough to come close to breaking through I usually just go on a tour of changing shape's and colours that sometime's appear as beings or objects that shift and mould constantly that are faint and clearly not real.

Higher doses just build on that but are clearer sharper and hard to believe aren't real. Also experience the pre breakthrough type stuff as above.
Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me, lets me see.
There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these,
infinite possibilities.
As below so above and beyond I imagine,
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Yes, now that I think about it, colors do indicate the the experience. For me, green is the most difficult and light blue the most beautiful and blissful, red is most loving, yellow has an alien feel to it, purple is probably the most common gateway color, with a general sense of holiness.

I can't say I have any attached or replicable metering colored intensity at all like you describe. It's always way more complicated than that for me. I am cross referencing hyperspace memories right now and can see all kinds of emotions and intensities occurring during all kids of colors, and non colors. That's interesting that you do. For example, gibran2, you say that orange is your most difficult. I have had calm visions of the sun flowing through me all glowing orange, and then there are the times where everything is ablaze. Even the most intense experiences can go both ways it seems.

For example... high doses can take me into super bright territory...but they have also subsequently taken me into the darkest things I have ever experienced where there was no color at all. Like the opposite. Like a black hole.

In other words, I have nothing definitive to add in regards to color / emotion / intensity. It's hyperspace and that's really all I know at this current point in time.

When I’m referring to color, I’m talking just about the color of the “cloud entity” at the beginning of an experience, not colors throughout the experience. Not sure if I was clear about that. Also, notice I added the term “entity” – the “cloud” definitely has an intelligence behind it. It seems alive.

I’ve noticed with the GVG that I often bypass the cloud altogether – a rapid dose in a single inhalation is so quick that the sensation is one of “vibrating into hyperspace”.

Anyhow, I also find red to be loving: usually when a red “cloud” is approaching me, I know something good is about to happen. As it passes through me, there is a “melding” or “joining” with it, accompanied by an intense, alien euphoria.

Blue or grey often means annihilation – a “physical” dissolution accompanied by a loss of everything I am. These sorts of experiences can be difficult, because I’m generally fully aware of what’s happening as it is happening – I feel myself fading out of existence.

Orange often means “intense and unforgiving”. These are my most vivid experiences, but there’s no love present – usually a clinical, alien indifference. Very difficult.

It’s all so strange.

does this mean you instant breakthrough ??

Not quite instant, but a very rapid transition. Oddly enough, it's not a difficult transition at all.

a old mate I no longer speak too said to me once that it looked like the patterns formed into strings of stick figures
but this was not a breakthrough

this is what we were doing at the time going to the point where we could see patterns of visuals "the kaleidoscope" and then talking about it
for a long time that's all I did
that's why I started the topic
my first experience was alone and somewhat uninformed and it knocked me back so I stuck to smaller doses for a long time when I got the courage to go back to it.

Since then I Have learnt it was just a one off difficult experience and have never had another like it even though now I stick to a proper dose and look for a full experience. what I experience now seems to be very similar each time but I guess I am still very new to it even after approx 4 years since first dose

My first time i will explain i was in a toilet cubicle that locked from the inside so i knew i would not be bothered and the dose is what i now understand to be just a bit bigger than just right I have tolerant lungs as well any way long story short I passed out completely face down in a sitting position arms dangling down hot pipe in one hand did not know who i was for the moment could feel that the demi-gods where present but invisible and that there minions where attacking me and I had just been put back where i belong and i was in trouble for creating the disturbance of going on my trip like had broken a rule or gone out of bounds and had to be made to feel sorry for it like i was being teased or having my exposed feelings hurt directly by prodding.

When i stated to remember what i had done an who i was I stated to say to my self facts about my self "My name is" " that is my arm" "that is a glass pipe" "those are my legs" "this is a toilet"
I was trying to grab onto normal reality

then i remembered that it doesn't last long and realized i was starting to come down eventually opened the door and came out
and decided that it was an awesome experience even though a second ago i was totally freaked out and saw these two teenage boy and told them all about it.

thank you for this analoge... i've certainly developed a close relationship with "first level" visuals as i've only broken through once out of several trips. i've come to recognize them as a huge well-balanced m.c. escher painting of polarized black and white geometric shapes and entities twisting and turning over one another. once it was all white with plastic-like shapes instead with bright rainbow outlines, but mostly i remember the kaleidescope to be mostly black or white. odd, since im used to dreaming in color. the triangle you refer to is very familiar, and it always seems to be very flat, two-dimensional. A few times its opened up to shapes of higher dimensions but i still feel its the same system, only my perspective has widened. needless to say ive developed a bit of a love/hate relationship with this first level... im itching to break through again.
