This is any noob extractors dream if beginning into this type of exploration while looking for an easy way to get the molecule you need for such exploring. Start with this tek/tutorial if novice and have considered other options. This is how I have learned how to extract mine (being a self-proclaimed newcomer and noobie (-: ).
Originated in Ohio in 2009 when it was modified from a randomly posted “STB tek” on the internet as most are...and it is still basically just normal STB, but i am posting this specifically for a newcomer to use for his first extraction. It is very similar to the original that I read, but I have leanred some of my own things that are beneficial and work a tad better for me, so I added them to this easy, yet highyielding and high quality tek.
Created for harm reduction purposes and the exploration of space beyond our defaultly percieved reality.

Disclaimer, Please Read: Made for people, extraterrestrials, or anything concious, with the ability to conceive was has been written in this document regarding extraction. None of this is here to promote human consumption, that is what I am discouraging by writing this disclaimer…no one should be doing illegal things with any material used that I listed in the material list, if other steps or tools are used that are not listed – it is a high possibility that it is dangerous and/or will ruin your whole extraction, surrounding objects, and most importantly – it may hurt YOU badly, so you must be as careful as possible, cannot stress this enough. None of this is here to promote human consumption, that is what I am discJust here to be used as information for outsiders as well as myself to find out more about the reality we constantly percieve and live in, while also measuring the boundaries of ourselves when it comes to altering or changing/switching, turning on, turning off, basically just FUCKING with our own brains to change our percieved reality. This is made for people who want to experiement with passing the guidlelines that we humans have culturally developped when philosophizing about our own naturally evolved conciousness, and pass into something completetly different that cannot even be “english’d” (as Sir Terence Mckenna would put it) Everyone should to follow the laws put in place by our federal governement, state, and local governments as to not be manufacturing a Schedule I controlled substance which charge comes with a nice entrée of manditory minimum sentencing. Basically to just push the bounderies of our own existence and rational thought, subconcious thought, as well as things we may not even know about, technically just anything we can that may give insight into how things like…Everything…”work” or find how complex of an eternal life cycle in which we are currently taking part in together with eachother. You’re part of this eternal cycle too and should be pushing your perception’s boundaries to the limit, finding out what we, as humans, are TRULY capable of. I have some insight into what we are capable of, and it is truly beautiful and not even a speck of what we untimately are capable of mentally. We need to stop living with things so outwardly and turn inward. This document is used strictly for those to use it for space travel inside our own, vast, infinitely sized mind/conciousness that makes ALL for us. This is not made with any reason or goal in mind, I do not recommend performing these instructions written below for legal reasons as well as health/safety issues. Even if one has read all of this and done scientific research about vaporizing n,n-dimethyltryptamine and know the possible repercussions, please know that the experience this molecule provides in humans is self-transformative and it will forever have a mental and spiritual effect on you as you scurry on through life. Be ready, have a box of tissues if ever ingesting (which I would neve recommend)

Materials needed:
- Rooto brand 100% crystaline Lye (Lowe’s, Ace hardware)(never touch with hands/skin and use gloves and a doctor’s-like mask when pouring into distilled water.
Latex gloves, and a medical or gas mask.
- VM&P Naptha (NaOH) Only VM&P brand do to its’ very high purity, cleanliness, and lack of dissolved solids. It is only available in America and parts of the UK. If you’re in Canada you must, unfortunately, use the yellow bottle Ronsonal fluid like for using with lighters, or you can wait a couple days and order some VM&P quality naptha online which is what I highly recommend to avoid taking extra, wasteful, unneccessary steps. Buy one can for your first 100g mimosa bark extraction, it will be plenty and you can recycle the naptha you DO use since it is reusable to save money, this who process can be very very cheap.
- Glass jars that seal extraordinarily well. You will be mixing the entire solution in this jar. You are going to want to buy a couple big jars (depending on the size of your extraction). For the large jars, you will want 1000+ mL size glass jar that seals well when lid is on. Go to the Container store, has everything needed. Then, the other jars needed should be small, just get normal “ball” brand mason jars from Wal Mart, they are like 1 dollar each. The small jars are for crystalizing the high tech, psychoactive, rocket fuel in the freezer so you/someone can collect it.
- Get an oral syringe from a pharmacy, like Walgreens, but get the biggest one you can find, or a thin turkley baster. This will be to pull the emulsion of naptha from the bark/water/lye solution, youll understand after reading process.
- A flat pyrex dish for good crystalizing and easy collection of crystals.

- And exacto knife.
- THE MIMOSA HOSTILIS BARK! Or the other leaf with the stuff in it usually used for ayahuasca, but this tek uses bark, use POWDERIZED bark, much less hassle for you.
- One doubel digit or triple digit scale to weigh the lye and bark for making it. Then you use the specific weighing with the tryptamine solid you yield. You want to be precise when measuring amounts or bad things can/will happen. Don’t be dumb, my words of wisdom.
- A turkey baster just in case the oral syringe oest work well.
- A measuring cup, able to weigh 3 cups (for one 100g bakr extraction).



Extraction Procedure from Root Bark:


First, measure out threee cups of your distilled water. Pour those threee cups of distilled water into your 1000+ mL glass jar. Next, you will want to weigh out 90 grams of 100% crystaline lye. When doing this, pour small increments of the lye into the water at a time while stirring so it doesn’t get too hot. The water will become cloudy but it will go away as you stir. Once the cloudiness from the lye goes away, you are able to start weighing out the mimosa hostilis root bark. Weigh out the powderized bark to 100 grams for an extraction that will yield 1.5+% of the original bark weight of pure, clean n’n – dimethyltryptamine. Once weighed, pour small amounts of the weighed, powdered bark into the solution, but do it in increments so that you stir and break up all the chunks. Stir as you pour. If there are chunks, then the lye is not unattaching the dmt into the water and you wont pick it up with the solvent. Once all of the bark (100g) is stirred in, youre going to want to let it sit for 5-10 minutes. After that, pour about 1/5th of a bottle/can of naptha (NaOH) into the jar with all the water lye and bark you put in. The naptha will just hang out on the top layer, it will separate from the rest of the dark solution. GENTLY shake it up as the naptha is in it, you want to roll the jar “end over end” gently, not rough or else bad things can happen. Roll it gently end over end for 5 minutres straight….count to 60 five times, damnit.
Now, after “end over ending” it for 5 mins minimum, you need to let the whole jar sit on a counter or table or hard surface and leave it alone, let it be still. Come back to this same jar 20-30 minutes later and the naptha will, again, be located on the top layer of the solution, the top-most layer in the jar. The naptha will be fairly clear, but it will be yellowish-clear or red, or orange, any of these colors is good, don’t stress. With the oral syringe or turkey baster you bought, siphon the top layer of naptha out of the jar, from off of the top of the rest of the solution.



Since the pH is 14, the n’n-dimethyltryptamine has been unattached from the root bark, it is too alkaline for the DMT to still attach itself to the root bark. With the pH so alkaline, it can burn the skin. You will want a doctor’s mask, probably a dentist mask for the more powderized bark. After siphoning off the naptha (NaoH) one pull at a time, you combine all the pulled naptha into the Pyrex dish.
With the Pyrex dish full of the DMT-filled naptha, put a desk fan blowing across the top of the liquid in the dish as it aids evaporation. You want to keep checking on it and watching it evaportate until there is 1/3-3/5 the original naptha you pulled into the dish. What I do to evaporate in times where it calls for a hurry, I use the “double boil method” – I fill up a pot with hot water and place the pyrex dish containing all of the pulls on top/into the pot with the water (ALL ON TOP OF A HOT PLATE...NO OPEN FLAME FOR GOD'S SAKE, OR WHOEVER'S SAKE). I just get it so that the bottom of the pyrex baking dish touches the surface of the water. I turn the stove (electric, never gas) on low and do not heat the water/NAoH solution over 80 degrees, I also check the waters temp occasionally jsut to catch a mistake before ti happens, cant eb too safe. I have tried this kind of evapping before, and even though heat is dangerous with flammable product, it is enough of a benefit to risk it for my dear, dear, DMT.

After 1/3-3/5s of the naptha remains at the bottom of the dish, put plastic seran (sp) wrap over the dish and place it in the refridgerator for 3 hours. Try to have Zero movement on the naptha filled dish while it is in the fridge. After 3 hours of it being in the refridgerator, move it to the freezer and let it sit there for 24 more hours. Make sure you find the coldest part of your freezer since it does help. The coldest part of mine is in the back left corner.

The colder the environment is in the freezer, the better the crystals will form, they will become stacked larger and also pointier than some of the crystals grown in not-so-cold of a freezer.

This is called freeze precipitation, in the freezer, the dmt that is dissolved in the naptha (liquid) becomes hard and condensed by the cold temperature into crystals. Recreational users of this step call it “crashing out,” as the crystals “crash” out of the liquid suspension and down onto the bottom of the glass jar.
There is only one last thing NEEDED to do if you arent washing your product, and that is dry your crystalizing jars and scrape them. When first taken out of the freezer and discarded of the naptha, put the lid back on as the jar Is empty besides dmt crystals stuck to the bottom, and flip it upside down and put the upside down jar back into the freezer since the small amount of naptha NAoH can redissolve the newly stacked/;formed crystals which would ruin everything. Come back to get the upside down jar with the spice in it after about 45 mins of it being dry and upside down in the freezer.


OPTIONAL
I then recommened another naptha wash in a shotglass with whatever you yield. With my bark with no recrystalization, I achieved no less than a 1.4 gram yield (with plant oils). I did not weigh this yield after the wash, id say around .8g easily though, I don’t like eyeballing.


REMEMBER, always use top line ingredients when doing a Straight to Base Extraction such as the one I explained in detail above, or else you will end up with a product that has contaminants and strange dissolved solids that you DON’T want to be inhaling.




Long and rambly, but it was for myself if anything, just glad if it can help a fellow beginner. this tek has worked for me since the very beginning (i mean its basically stb, it is stb). I left out so much stuff rereading this. It is basically a disclaimer with some "tek" thrown in between...hahha, i mean it sa long disclaimer, odd of me. I mean the tek is written "okay," but talking to attractive females on the plane whiel writing this has shown to be a not-so-good-idea. THIS TEK GETS ME 1.5-1.8% yields with the oils...thats Good enough for me ill take that anyday even though im sure some of you crazy cats wouldnt. with some corrections, this could be a good first timer stb though. Biflee barely knew anything about this, basically nothing, and he actually understands stb now (as much as possible at the exp. stage) but get rid of it if ya want. biflee got ahold of it which was kind of the point, and for you guys to harshly criticize my DMT ways. I forgot to say to check the pH too with your pen or litmus paper (if it goes to 14).

Also, someone correct me if im wrong when talking about how the dmt attaches and unattaches at the hig pH. I mean im pretty sure its correct, but someone could elaborate if they feel liek it.

at what point in the extraction does one lick his finger ??

Hopefully at the very end, when the crystals have been purified, vaporized, and then you just happen to notice how lovely your finger smells, and you decide to just lick it, because it's the greatest damn smell you ever did smell

It works, but really what person who's trying to learn extraction is going to read all of that Try writing more on just on what is going on and why it work's and less on the supplies.

Also include possible sources of error such as over basing, under basing, cracking jars due to rapid heat change, and whatever else has been run across.

edit: This is a really bad suggestion I highly recommend rewriting this. A spark from a fan was enough to ignite a nexus users room.

Hey Ekoostik,

I appreciate your attempt to write a tek together. But the wall of text is pretty discouraging to read. I suggest you use some text-formatting tools and create some more distinct paragraphs etc. For instructions I think using bullet points or something similar is a good idea, instead of writing it as a block. Adding some pictures or schematics also never hurts.

this was very hard to read. long winded, location specific, unexplained names of processes (which beginners wouldn't understand) but, its ok. the "double boil" you refer to is more commonly known as a hot bath. an emulsion is where the naptha and solution become all frothy and wont separate, not the top layer of naptha. if you want to make it better try writing smaller blocks of information, and expanding on specifics.

an example:
"After you have reduced and filtered the acidic solution, defat (removing the fats with solvent) the solution by adding a small amount of naptha (10-15mm of the container) and shake vigorously for 5-10 minutes. let the solution settle. and remove and discard the layer of solvent
Note: If an emulsion (inseparable froth/bubbles) forms, apply warmth and stir/swirl the solution

Next you will need to basify (to ph 13-14) the mixture with NaOH(sodium hydroxide or 'caustic soda' Add 8g/100ml of solution or until the solution turns completely black.

Now you want to extract dmt from the basic solution [Turning the solution basic detached the dmt from its salt form (dmt acetate - acetic acid being the vinegar) and changed it to freebase]
add naptha or another non-polar solvent at a ratio of approx = 1:5 and shake vigorously for 5-10 minutes. separate and keep it in a collection container. for each segment of solution you are extracting you will need to do this a minimum of 3 times to collect all the dmt"
