Hi, this is my first post although I've been reading the forums for about a year now.

SWIM just recently tried Acolon 5's spice washing tek and used a 6"X6" glass dish to evaporate some of the naphtha (VM&P from Ace Hardware). Once evaporated to about 1/4 original volume (SWIM thinks he used too much naptha) SWIM then put the naphtha back in a jar and in the freezer to freeze precipitate. SWIM thought that there may be some DMT left over on the bottom of the dish so SWIM dried the dish with a hair dryer, stuck it in the freezer for about 30 min, then pulled it back out and scraped it with a razor blade. SWIM scraped up a reddish brown goo with no odor. What is this stuff?

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

Hey DeemsterBlunt Razz
Welcome! Glad you finally decided to join us.

If I understand you correctly, after collecting your freeze precipitated spice, you then evaporated your solvent, and scraped up what was left, which was a red brown goo ? (Please correct me if I misinterpreted)

If this is the case, then it's possible what you have is plant fats. It could also be microemulsed pieces of the based bark mixture that made it's way into your solvent. This is why recrystallization is important. The process can be found in our WIKI if you aren't familiar with it.

Either way, I wouldn't smoke it. Recrystallize and leave the gunk behind.

Thanks for the welcome!

I should have mentioned that SWIM first used Noman's STB Tek, then Freeze Precipitated, scraped up a good amount of yellow spice, then tried washing half of it it with Acolon 5's spice washing tek with baking soda, let it evaporate in the dish, then put back in a jar to freeze precipitate again. SWIM thought there may be residual DMT left in the dish so SWIM scraped it with a razor blade and was left with the red brown goo. I think you're right, it seems like plant fats and was discarded.

However, SWIM also took the other half and just recrystallized it without washing just to compare the two and was AMAZED by the quality difference by just one recrystallization. SWIM just smoked about 100mg of the recrystallized spice and went into the most intense trip he has ever had. That was definitely too much because SWIM can hardly remember any of it, but it was kind of like dieing and coming back to life. SWIM woke up to find his dog licking his behind in front of him and was very confused by the actions of this strange alien creature.
