First off I would like to thank endless for the endless amount of help and energy he has kindly shown me and others. and also to the nexus FAQ and teks its been super sweet doing my first few teks with your help.

Anyway to the issue, I am doing my second BLAB DMT extraction, the first went well, and i got .850mg freebase DMT,

But in my second conversion from furmates to freebase, there is a small amount of brown product floating on top of the sodium carbonate solution and stuck to the side of my refrigerated glass container. There is also plenty of 1mm sparkly white crystals as well at the bottom.

Should I be worried about this? Can the brown product be washed to thrown away? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any ongoing or planned future extraction? I ask because you could separate manually as much as you can the brown stuff, and then redissolve it in acidic water together with the next extraction, so if there are alkaloids there you wont lose it.

Alternatively you can try redissolving the brown stuff in small amount of warm FASW and reprecipitating.

I wouldnt throw it away, just in case it might be a mix of impurities+alkaloids

Not doing any more extractions for a while. Finally got holiday off work so am going to give my first extractions a thorough testing in the beautiful Welsh valleys.

Will give that a try, in the second extraction the furmate product was far more sticky. Wondering if it was due to a possible small amount of D-limonene that i had not separated properly?

I have added the light brown product to FASW. From what I am to understand that should make any remaining DMT freebase water soluble again. The problem as I see it is that there where some really great DMT freebase crystals mixed in with the brown product, it is hard to see if the crystals have dissolved but the brown product has not.

Should I now keep mixing the FASW to dissolve all the freebase? then separate it away from the brown product and continue in in the same way during my initial BLAB tek?
