Ok so i am on my third extraction attempt right now.
The first one I ended up with nothing. I think i rushed it.
Second i had one jar with very few crystals in it and nothing in the second jar.
The third one is 2 jars sitting in the freezer right now since around noon.

What I did was put 1500ml and 7 tablespoons of lye in my jar, then about 250 grams of the Mimosa powder

I shook it up and let it sit for about an hour.

I then added 150ml of vm&p naphtha so the jar and turned it up and over up and over for 5 minutes with 5 minute breaks in between.

I sucked it out with my baster and got a few little brown specks at the bottom of my jar, which I'm guessing wont be a problem.

I put 150ml back in the jar and did the same turn it up and over but this time for 5 minutes the first time, then 3 minutes, then 2 minutes. I'm not expecting much from that jar.

So in order to avoid yet another dissapointing extraction, can anyone tell me what i might have done wrong or should do differently tomorrow?(I have another jar with the same lye/water/powder mixture and it'll be sitting for 24 hours)


edit: for when I take the crystals out of the jar, what I did was pour the naphtha through a coffee filter into another jar. Then i scraped the crystals with some metal stick thing and smoked them through my bong. The only thing that happened was i got realy high for about 5 minutes. I through away the coffee filters too. Is there another step i can take after pouring the napthath through the filters?

7 tbsp of lye? Maybe too little? did you dissolve it in water completely?

Yes I did. And i shoook up the jar too after putting the powder in so I know it got mixed

Utterly confusing... Was it the same naphtha you put in and took out before?

1 hour? Let the lye soak for 24-48 hours. Let the naphtha soak for 15-20 minutes. Oh and... add more lye. Until the MHRB turns black.

Lol no it wasnn't. the naphtha i took out with the baster i put into seperate jars and them put those in the freezer sorry for the confusion

the current jar i have is soaking for 24 hours. The jar i just extracted from was basically black

Sorry about the double-post but i was reading and came across something called freeze precipitation?
What im getting from that is that i can't just pour my frozen naptha through a coffee filter and expect it to work.
I have to evaporate some of the naphtha first but the tek that i used never told me to do that, the tek said just put the jars in the freezer and pull them out and strain them.

Now i'm really confused. HELP PLEASE :/

the recommendation to let some of the naptha evaporate is to concentrate the desirables in the solution allowing them to crash out easier.

When I freeze precip I just tip the jar and pour off the naphtha leaving the crystals in the bottom of jar with very small amount of the naphtha left. Then scrape it out and let it dry till no smell of naphtha left. I don't bother with the filter.

what do you mean crash out? and how do i get only part of the naphtha to evaporate?

bongz means if the dmt is more concentrated in the naphtha IE lass naphtha it will frezze precip out easier, I use a warm water bath just put your jar of naphtha in a bowl of warm water, can get changing water if cools down naphtha will look cloudy already usually when I put in freezer.
