HI, I was wandering would it be possible to extract dmt from Diplopterys Cabrerana instead of MHRB using Q21Q21's TEK 2?. Will there be additional steps? Thanks

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I never extracted with diplopterys, maybe someone else that did can help you out. In any case I see two potential issues: excess chlorophyll/oils, and a lot of dmt n-oxide.

In the first case, this would mean your final product wouldnt be very pure, might be very oily. You could just infuse some herbs with it by redissolving the oil in alcohol/acetone and evaporating onto some herbs. Weigh the herbs before and after to know the amount you have of the oil. But if you want a crystal product, then either you would have to defat (which I think its a wasteful process and would rather avoid and try other options), or it could probably work to try recrystallizing the final oil (instructions in the FAQ), or you could try doing some fumarate precipitation which should also separate alkaloids from impurities (so for example doing FASA or FASI on your solvent and letting it precipitate over a few days, then retrieving your fumarates, washing them with dry acetone or IPA and converting to freebase if you want to smoke as it says at the end of BLAB tek or just consuming orally the fumarates).

As for the n-oxide story, it is an oil itself so it wouldnt crystallize, and it wouldnt really be pulled with naphtha, at least not at normal temperatures, maybe if its hot naphtha. So then you would have to use a solvent like xylene (yuck!) or limonene. Im not sure if theres really any significant quantity of n-oxide in chaliponga, it might be that it doesnt. In any case you could try pulling either with naphtha first and then with limonene, or go straight for limonene. Then salting out with FASW (which would def get the n-oxide salted, as opposed to FASI/FASA which im not sure the oxide would precipitate) or salt with vinegar, and converting that to freebase later as BLAB. You could also try doing the zinc n-oxide reduction thing (linked in the FAQ), which Im not sure if anybody confirmed it does work but it would be worth a try.

Sorry I couldnt give you one direct answer, also because Ive never done that extraction to say from experience, but I think I covered the main aspects and now you can think for yourself and decide what to do. Dont forget to let us know how it goes Smile

FAQ/Wiki (and the extraction teks, even the ones you dont want to use, but just so you have an overview of the different processes), take a few days reading it all and come back with any questions you might still have Smile
