After a slight of hand and a little bi of research, I came up with a few straw projects and about 27 extra pint sized cakes.

Everything died.

A few weeks before, there was an uncooperative clump of wheat durum, set on top of freshly sterilized substrate, I left it instead of tossing it out, knowing the risk which might prevent it from colonizing.

This remained the only survivor.

Growing four pins, which survived, now fruiting successfully, it strains underneath overlay to develop fresh pin clusters. It is a unique and beautiful sight.
A great deal of meditation is required
