Vinegar is needed for the acid bath, at least. SWIM's working on rendering freebase from vinegar-salted acetates, but he's run into a
snag that may turn him back to fumaric acid if he can't resolve it easily enough. So for now, SWIM's recommending both, but a
drytek freebase conversion from acetates would be a decent workaround.

Bingo. The two don't seem to mix, but IPA will cause veggie to become a bit more runny. In any case, SWIM's found it extremely effective.
Quote:He says that he is doing 'pure veggie oil extraction (in conjunction with limtek)'... so I think you DO still need Limonene??
Nope, it's completely optional. Limonene is a choice solvent for
limtek, but the term most specifically refers to the unique manner in which lime is used to perform extractions, like a pseudo
drytek with no need for drying.

It's advisable to render some sodium carbonate from baking soda for freebase conversion.
