Finally found a subforum I can post in!
Anyways, Im doing my second extraction. Im using a STB tek thats a mix between vovins tek and nomans. My first extraction pulled some beautiful crystals, clear, pure crystals. (Ill upload some pics when theyre done precipitating)

Well this time around I think Im in trouble. My 'sludge' is alot thicker. I might of used to much bark, disturbing the lye/water/naphtha ratio.

This is what I was aiming for.
115g MHRB
8 Tablespoons Lye (ha i know)
1.5 L distilled water
160ml VM+P Naphtha

Basic question here is what should I do. Ive already added the naphtha. Say I added 150-160g of root bark to said mixture instead of the 115g I was aiming for. Am I fine? or should I do something to correct things.

You might need to add some more water it doesn't matter if you have already added the naptha.

If your naptha still separates fine you don't even need to add more water..

Excellent! The naphtha has fully seperated. I guess I overreacted. I just like treating the process and product like a treasure. A perfectionist attitude towards it has greatly helped me.
