Hey Nexus - great forum you've got here.

My dentist's postman recently did his first extraction and everything seems to have gone off without a hitch - there are a few things he would like clarified, though.

He has unexpected company over this weekend which will make harvesting the crystals difficult - not impossible, but it will be much more convenient to do once they are gone. Is there any harm in leaving the naphtha/DMT solution in the freezer for something like 5-6 days as opposed to 1-2? He is inclined to believe that this should not cause any problems, but he is unsure and wants to err on the side of caution - that is why he comes to you. Is there any potential for damage to the crystals or loss of yield/potency as a result of leaving the solution in the freezer for so long?

Second question - he notices a few threads on the first page of this subforum that are concerned that the crystals are not sticking to the glass - his situation is similar. There are pure white crystals, but they all seem to have collected at the very bottom of the jar and naphtha. Anything to be worried about here?

Finally, once he has harvested this wonderous little molecule, what is the ideal method of storage and how long should he expect the spice to keep without any significant loss of potency? Would a mason jar in the freezer be a good place?

Thanks in advance for any answers that come my way - they will be greatly appreciated!

Hey nexus, just so happens my neighbors cousins from Amsterdam are in the midst of an extraction.

they too also have crystals forming at the bottom of the jar, maybe a spec or two on the side, but are firmly attached to the bottom.
is there any problem/advantage?

they also wonder about storage, as they plan on a large extract after their technique is perfected, would invisible mans method of storage be alright?
how about room temp?

SWIM has had this happen to all you gotta do is grab a glass jar and some coffee filters (1 will do) and rubber band the filter over the mouth of the jar and pour slowly cuz it does take a sec for it to filter through so u dont spill. Swim just squeezed the remaining solvent out once its done and use a credit card to scrape xtals up into another jar or plate and there you go!! as for storage swim was wondering the same as you guys!

Store your spice in glass amber vials, put them in a storage box for freezers and put water absorber bags (don't know how it's properly called) in it (optional?).
This is the way SWIM stores his powders. There is also a handy link on the wiki: https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...best_way_to_store_DMT.3F

Thanks for all the helpful responses guys!

Just want to confirm that an extended stay in the freezer (5-6 days) is nothing to worry about? Yes, no, maybe?

SWIM thinks it is not something to worry about (Correct SWIM if he's wrong).
