Will blankets keep the stuff warm enough? Like if i just wrap the jar in lots of blankets. Or would i need a source of heat?

no matter how many blankets you wrap around a jar, the jar isnt going to warm, blankets would only keep the heat if it was already there in the first place (for example a person with its body heat, staying under the blanket). So no.

its very simple to warm naphtha, just boil some water, turn off the fire/heat source, put the naphtha in a glass and submerge the bottom of the glass on the warm water for a couple of minutes.

anyways you dont necessarily have to warm the naphtha, just make sure that you do more than 3 pulls (better more like 6 or so) and that the last pulls are long, with many cycles of mixing/letting stand before pulling out.

endlessness hit the nail on the head

heat is not required for the dmt to travel from the mimosa soup into the naptha

if you do want to use heat however your method is not a good one

Not true, if you heat the naphta it can contain more DMT. And with heptane it's even more or less mandatory since at room temp the heptane will have a hard time absorbing enough DMT to make it worthwhile.

Giving the MHRB/water/lye mix a nice and cosy warm bath in the sink will raise the temperature enough while still being relatively safe.
DO NOT USE FIRE TO HEAT THE SOLUTION SINCE THIS CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH IF THE SOLVENT GETS IGNITED!

Kind regards,

I have to second trav. Warm water from a sink is usually a nice warmer for your naphtha. I recomend warming both the mhrb solution and the naphtha.

Swim adds his naphtha while the aqeous solution is still nice and warm from adding the lye/water, wich is still hot from the lye/water reaction.
