i know what you mean gosvami.. theres alot more psychedelics can give you when you don't have sex before. for me they have deeper meaning. i never have sex for at least 3 days before.. sometimes even 2 weeks. i used to drink only water and eat only fruit 3 days before tripping. i still do this but only when taking MAOi - i get nicer experiences with it, because my body already has been cleaned.. that way it only needs to clean my soul. i always just did it like that.. never asked myself why. but living at the edge of nothing is the nearest you can get to paradise.
