It seems we are stuck in this thread forever. Perhaps we could make the best of our predicament by constructing a destiny for ourselves, even if it is going to be short-lived in the face of infinity. We could express a purpose, as arbitrary as it may be, by allowing complexity to build on complexity, and perhaps eventually we will have created a new form of existence, followed by a new form of life, followed by a new form of consciousness, followed by? This open-ended purpose would give way to new possibilities, new avenues to evolve into, and perhaps, just for a moment, we could forget that we are in this eternal void by shaping ourselves into a world of our own. SWIM is Spartacus!
