Hey all,

The problem,
One of the 1st and strongest of SWIMs pulls has dried out properly in terms of crystal population.
The naphtha SWIM was using has a pink dye but leaves no residue. (Coleman Fuel - Premium Blend)
Some of the pulls have perfect white crystals.
The crystals from the initial (and best) pull have pink-ish crystals.
SWIM has now bought better naphtha (Ronsonol) and is wondering how they would remove the dye from the crystals..

Thanks! Confused

Just found this question while poking around for something else.

Anyhow, your crystals are clearly contaminated by particulates carried over from the powdered bark you used.

Redissolving in the minimum amount of warm naphtha followed by careful filtering and another freeze precipitation would clean that up. It looks like you've explored recrystallisation a bit by now and sorted this out for yourself Thumbs up

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
