This dude had a major mycology operation going on in Burlington, CT. I think this guy got completely carried away, it is no wonder he got busted with this large of an operation. I am all for growing some mushrooms but I only ever grew for myself and would share with friends. Never made a dime from it.

Talented mycologist for sure. Too bad he went overboard.

'There is an area of the mind that could be called unsane, beyond sanity, and yet not insane. Think of a circle with a fine split in it. At one end there's insanity. You go around the circle to sanity, and on the other end of the circle, close to insanity, but not insanity, is unsanity.' -Sidney Cohen

I bet they counted every gram of substrate as mushrooms. $8.5M, at $10/g, would be 850kg. I really doubt there was that much dried fruits, or the equivalent 8.5 tons of fresh ones.

My heart goes out to this person. May the courts be more reasonable than the reporting!

That is a LOT of substrate in the pics Shocked but you're right HT - it's very likely what will have been weighed to come up with with inflated figures for media sensationalism. It also irks me every time the term "narcotics" gets used for something that clearly is anything but narcotic.

Loose lips sink ships.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

It seems like narcotics is used instead of drugs to sound more... fancy and educated, which it's not when used incorrectly.

One love
What if the "truth" is: the "truth" is indescernible/unknowable/nonexistent? Then the closest we get is through being true to and with ourselves.
