Inspired by BW's DMT salt thread, I loaded some mono-mescaline citrate from CIELO on an e-mesh (SS set to 220C).

A black ash was left behind (see images below), so conclusion is that the ionic salt did not vaporoze properly and would not be a viable/safe ROI.

In the future I will test Mescaline Benzoate which forms nicely after salting Toluene directly with benzoic acid and will report back.

Just for good measure, can someone explain why Mescaline Freebase is not a reasonable route?

I feel like I remember there being some specific reason why its not feasible...

Just thought it would be worth mentioning on the thread Pleased

Thumbs up

I don't know for sure. I heard that free base mescaline is a difficult to handle oil that makes a salt with CO2 in the air? I do know that when drying cactus alkaline paste, I could not pull mescaline with a solvent like is possible with a wet paste. Seems like free base mescaline does not like to be dry.

Mescaline freebase is also pretty caustic - as evidenced by its propensity to absorb CO2, perhaps.

I get the hunch that mescaline benzoate should give a somewhat better result. Citric acid is less thermally stable than benzoic.

Maybe it would be worth trying a convection method with the e-mesh as well. Direct heat is obviously a bit too harsh.

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
