The white crystals were crystallized 12/23/21, and allowed to sit at room temp since. The orange crystals (the same crystals) were photographed 2/3/22. Scanned in 3D (excitation mode), and 2D. No degradation side-products were apparent.

Ok, pls help me interpret this. Does it support that DMT is simply aggregating (pi bonding?). Thanks.

This data elucidates that there is no qualitative difference between the orange product and the white product, using one of the most sensitive detection methods, fluorescence spectroscopy. The excitation scan method screened from 220-320 nm, with emission at 440 nm.
Both have identical spectra.

Very nice.

Do you have any suggestions on how to do a diy hack of this method with a:
https://sekonic.com/seko...ctromaster-spectrometer/ ?

It only goes down to 380nm. I have uva-c light sources.

Thanks

That looks like a device which measures the output wavelength from light-emitting devices. What you're looking for is a DIY Raman spectrometer, which registers raman spectral shifts.

Loveall created an excellent primer thread, dedicated to this method.
