Good afternoon everyone, I have had great success with DMT extractions with basified aqueous solutions that have sat until I could work with them, even after weeks of sitting. Recently I have been hearing that the alkaloids could be degrading in these basified solutions. I have also heard that this is even more true for A/B extraction of mescaline. I would really appreciate information and insights on the longevity of alkaloids suspended in a basified solution. Thank you in advance!

I don't know about DMT but i extracted mescaline with very high pH with no problem. Sometimes i'd leave it with the solvent for days, check on it swirl it up and leave it to seperate for few more days then extract with no problem. Mescaline can take it.

I've left very basic DMT solutions for over a year and come back and pulled them with success.

I think that exact opposite is true, as cactus extractions are known for high pH needed. You can left mescaline basified for days without any issue.

If anything, mescaline will be more stable than DMT - phenethylamines are more stable than tryptamines as a rule, on account of the indole ring system's greater vulnerability to oxidation. (Tryptamines = indolethylamines)

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

Anecdotal: I left a vessel basified for over a month. The final product didn't seem to have any difference in potency than from extractions that were completed in a more timely manner.

One love
What if the "truth" is: the "truth" is indescernible/unknowable/nonexistent? Then the closest we get is through being true to and with ourselves.
